If you think about it though production started March 16th, it hasnt even been 5 weeks since production started.

They only work 5 monday through friday which is 5 days a week, lets say for the sake of argumetn that they make 200 cars a day they've been working for 22 business days take the 2 they took off for easter?

20 x 200 = 4000

which means maybe theres only 4000 camaros made so far.

I would never expect a car manufacturer to cater to these requests, I'm not sure why you should feel any different. I have experience pre-ordering a car...I did this with a Smart ForTwo and it was no different. Yes, it is frustrating not knowing when your car might arrive, but this is how it has always been...we are not special just because we ordered the sacred Camaro.

GM is trying to get these cars out to us as fast as they can. They need not be worried about keeping the tens of thousands of customers in the loop. This will only increase their costs.

The car will come when it comes, if you do not feel like playing the waiting game you can always get another car. That is what many here have already done and I'm sure they are plenty happy in their Challengers, Mustangs and Vettes.

Go order a Mustang then if you want one.

Tell them you refuse to take one already built and that it MUST be custom for just you. And if your STUPID enough to think that I mean literally laugh then you don't know how a sales staff works. Go to the breakroom or outside cigarette area for a few hours.

Oh, people know. They are told not to talk.
Or they don't genuinely know, which is kinda worse.

You need to build a relationship with your customer, and GM has done a pretty good job with the Camaro.
They've gone 15/16 of the way there, and then dropped the ball.

There is no reason why they cannot tell their customers the status of their order.

If you order anything else in life, the company gives you a delivery date or at the very least, a delivery window.
They also give you a tracking number so you can track the package.

Don't you have a Mustang forum to hang out on?
Yeah if they find a car thats exactly like the one you want, then yes they ask the dealer who has it to ship it then u get that one. But if theres no car like the one you have you can special order it. There was a fully article on motortrend about this.

They were even letting a few handpicked customers go in to the plant and see their cars being made.

Plus I have every right to be here, have a camaro on order. But you shouldnt talk about things you dont know how many fords have you bought in the last 10 years?

i'm sure you can tell by now, but this site actually is more informed than whatever 1-800 number you called.

My family owned a volkswagen dealership for 25 years, currently we own a armored vehicle factory, I know how sales staff work.

I'll take the blame. I provided too much information the last 9 months. I will not post here anymore. I promise. I want to make this right.

You give a lot of complaints but no reasonable possible solution to sate your desires that result from the anxiety and panic that exists only in your mind.

I'm sure buying this car is a major expense to you and you want to have OCD levels of detail on your order and the creation/shipping process, but your post only makes you madder with no possible resolution.

Be calm and wait. You will get what you want.
