Behind me......LOL
Happy Thanksgiving to all my peeps....Been my second season in this group of fantastic fanatics and I am thankful to have you all as friends...no wait... Family! One last thought for Emma...The cost you already have into the car is lost if you start from scratch. Beginning again with a twin set-up will be SOOOO expensive and will gain you only a little more. Anything over 800 as 427 said will just be a waste on the street. Running at the Salt Flats for competition I could see the expense....running to Blockbuster video ....not so much? Also stated in the thread is the shop involved....are they reputable...have they done this before? ......and there is always the "if it aint broke dont fix it" rule where inevitably something will go wrong. If me I would wait until my current set up explodes...then return to the thought of turbos...again..read the article I mentiond a few posts back...Redline went from a SC'er to twin turbos and gained 2.7 HP and 5-7 lbs of torque. And thats with NEW intake (fast 102), NEW injectors, NEW exhaust, and all the bits and pieces that go with the install.....CHA-CHING!$$$$ Spend the money on a trip with your Upstate C5 Pals!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!!!!!!!! I am now in full retirement mode as of yesterday at 10am!!!!!! No more getting up at 4:ooam !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The vert is in hibernation the 45th is in semi hibernation,I may take it out friday since it is supposed to be in the 60s.The top was replaced on the vert last week.It was done by ACE AUTOTRIM here in Syracuse. I have seen the work they have done on some Hotrods of people I know. They do excellent work.Only one slight problem came up.It seems that when you put on a new top you have to tuck the water management bag back in place before you put top down. The dealer's body shop didn't know there was a bulletin on this. When we tried the top at the dealer it bent the 5th bow, sucking the rear corners in.The part has been ordered, just waiting for spring to fix it.The top looked better than new before we tried it.ACE AUTO TRIM knew this, they must have assumed the dealer did also, but didn't.Just a lack of communication some where.:b urnrubber:

Seems like everyone I've read about that has them likes them. some suspension mods help the car hook up better. When it's hooked up better you can use more of that HP !! |

Glad to see you're still alive Jeff.
Congrats on the retirement John, hope you can find stuff to keep yourself busy and not drive the wife nuts. |
