I have read a few "real world" reviews that say you might gain somewhere around 8hp to the wheels. Others claim you loose a couple due to the lost back pressure. I really feel this is more of a "sound" modification than for actual performance. But then again, I do not have them installed yet.... Beth would have a better feel than I would as I am only taking what other people say so far. Also I have an LS3 as opposed to Beth's L99, not sure if that plays any part in this. All the reviews I have ready are for LS3's.

I am starting to look forward to doing this now.... I have a quick clip of how the car sounds now with only the Corsa exhaust so I will load that to youtube for Andre' listing pleasure

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the Cutouts.....they'll just dump your exhaust giving you that sound and instant throttle response every stock SS lacks.

Do not hesitate, the cutouts won't affect your Corsa brotha.

Also....don't feed Andre. He's really good as he is. He drops in from time to time, helps the sloppy threads out, gives good input. All in all, somebody who is good to have around.

But honestly bro, going out and dressing your princess up in Eagles gear ain't gonna help. That's all Andre needs and now he'll prolly end up at your crib for Turkey Day all ready to watch some "Philly Ball."

LMAO......

Keep up the good work, we all love seeing people taking it up a couple notches!

Happy Thanksgiving man!

Just get those cut out installed! I guarantee you won't be dissappointed....if might be my old ears here....but it seems to have gotten louder with the colder weather! Yes I said louder!
I would guess that I have gained alot more than 8hp! I'm thinking more like 20! At least that! And gas mileage....well lets just say I have a lead foot.....before I was getting 13-14mpg in the city and now I am getting 15-16! Not bad! Everywhere I go I get compliments on the sound! People are shocked when I tell them what it is!
Ivan can tell you all about the sound as he installed mine! I think he was surprised! Believe me Ivan the sound has gotten better! Have fun down in Florida!

I was pretty surprised by the sound from the stock exhaust. Sounds good with the cutouts on there.

Just waiting to show ya how it sounds with Headers too!!!

okay so I spent quite a few hours working on the car today (I don't care to discuss how many hours as it would make me sound incompetent .

I got the skip shift eliminator installed and a good majority of the noweeds as well. Now if I could just get my damn front seat out I could finish.... There are only 2 bolts but I just cannot get those things to come out. I have them pretty close I imagine but I really think they are about to rip in half, thats how much torque I am having to apply. Ivan - were Beths 2 torq bolts extremely tough to remove?

oh well... Here are some pics, I just need to do the wiring (hopefully sunday) and that will be a mod down

Now we're talkin!!!!

This post rules....prolly one of the top five of this entire thread!! Somebody actually under the car. Epic!!

Vince, you'll need a (T25 if I remember right) Torx on a 1/2 drive to get those two special bolts out. It's impossible without that tool.

It's worth buying just the socket at a sears since you'll see that exact same size later in other places on the suspension.

Looking awesome so far!!! Right on man
Ivan.

Thanks Ivan, I do have the torx bits (lots of them as I needed them when I changed the exhaust on the Harley. Question is, is there some type of a retainer on te bolts somewhere? I can get the bolts unscrewed to my guess of about 3/4ths out but they just don't want to get all the way out. I'm real afraid I am going to snap the bolt in half as I must be applying over 100lbs of pressure to the heads now.

I drowned the bolts in WD40 overnight so hopefully that will loosen them up a bit for when I attempt again tomorrow. Then it's just some wiring left to do.

Oh - FYI the Corsa is one very thick piping. The saw couldn't even scratch the surface. Had to use a grinding wheel and cut through it that way... Fun stuff.

unfortunalty the bolt goes into a pan that you cannot get to from under the car. To me it almost seems like the 2 bolts were both cross-threaded from the factory. I am going to give it another shot Tomorrow and just pray I do not break the bolt off.

Good luck, nothing ticks you off more than a one stupid bolt holding up a simple project.
