Did your mom find a convertible? Yeah, Avery was real good too...he wasn't there the day I went in to buy my solstice...Mike was. I bought my vert through Mike also. So when do you think you'll get an LS3?

She looked at them, but didn't want to test drive any. Maybe she had a change in heart? I should have test drove a SS Vert so she could have at least experienced it. I actually wasn't going to test drive any once I got there cause I planned on her driving a convertible, but she asked Avery if I could drive the Coupe..she rode shotgun and loved the interior...she said it was a major improvement over my black cloth.

I must say, the new 2012 steering wheel isn't bad either. It was fairly comfortable...and the rear backup camera in the mirror....AWESOME! She gave that two thumbs up as well! I was also very pleased at how simple the manual was to drive, but that may be cause I'm use to driving my dads mustang...but i know getting the car started in first is much "simpler" than the mustang.

She also is looking at Convertible Mini Coopers..she has wanted one of those for the longest.

I'm not really sure when I'll get one. I'm going to start looking for a job in Auburn when I get back this week to try to start next semester so I can at least pay the difference in monthly payments from the LT/LS3.

I also gotta finish off this semester and keep my grades where they are at (2 A's 4 B's).

They had two Callaways outside...one RJT Coupe and one Black Convertible. Both of which the Carbon Fiber on the "power window" was chipping/peeling off. I was kinda surprised that was happening.

I believe that the RJT Callaway was the one that they sold to an elderly man pretty soon after mine. The guy died within a couple of weeks (knew he was dying), and the family sold it back to the dealership. It has been there over a year. I think that the convertible is the first convertible that they could order, and they sent it straight to callaway. Both cars have been sitting outside. I guess that the clear finish on the carbon fiber doesn't hold up too well in the sun. I bet that they are ready to deal on both of them. I'm sure they will get the power window hood inserts replaced.

Keep those grades up!

Yeah Avery said they were ready to deal on them... but honestly even if we could afford a Callaway, I'd attempt to buy yours. Neither of them appealed to me and I know yours has been taken care of...and it's IOM.

The LS3 I drove was nearly the exact one I would like. It had the Grey interior instead of the tan...but it actually is pretty tasteful. It was SW with silver stripes but those would have to go. Had the hurst STS which was awesome. Today was just a good day.

Concensus

Who's doing what this Saturday? We seem a bit divided... Whatever it is we should do it in force..

December 3rd

I think that the consensus is that some of the group will be at Summit, and some of the group will be at the detail clinic.

We could all meet up for dinner???

We can certainly do that for the NE bunch. I'll be going...how about discussing this in the clinic thread...
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/group....cussionid=4989

We can discuss here if anyone wants to meet up for dinner after the meet at Summit (ends around 4), and after the detail clinic (ends around 3). Somewhere on the east side would be good, where it wouldn't be too much of a haul for either group. Does anyone going to Summit want to meet somewhere on the east side?

Joe, I posted that in here because I think the newer folks may be a little confused between the ACE5 page, this thread, and the Facebook page.. I think only a few regularly visit all 3..

I'll be heading to the detail clinic! And eating afterwards sounds like a plan! Someone figure a place to eat! I know around the North Druid hills rd area, there is a Greek restraunt and There is a longhorns, and a chilis!

You're right. We all get a little confused. The social groups on here stink. I don't use facebook, but if you have a link to the facebook page, please remind the rest of us what it is. I can't find it.
