I don't get this. Jannetty put out numbers on their dyno. They weren't pulling them out of their butts. Either they're lying or not. LT's will rock and horribly pollute without good cats. Unless any good qualified outfit has data disputing Jannetty why are others even posting?

Maybe some gain by leaning the system at first but very little if any after computer relearns. There is not that much gain folks. I really liked the vararam, seems to improve throttle response and pull harder but WOT wasn't as good. The track confirmed it. Its for looks, choose the pretty one or get a real gain with a scoop, washer bottle relocate and modify the stocker to accept the air.

I had the ADM intake and scoop install with washer bottle relocate done about 2 weeks ago and you can most definitely feel the difference in the good ol' butt dyno and definitely hear the difference I have never tracked or dragged it so I don't have ET to show for it but there is definitely a difference in throttle response.

Ted Jannetty racing conducting an independent install and dyno runs on the same vehicle with intakes they also DO NOT sell. Any supplier was able to join....we should just toss that all out? Great post. I'll take Jannetty...or Hennessy... or Lingenfelter...or Callaway. You take your buddy's dad's shop.... ------------------------ OPs, There are a good number of intakes that are cosmetic and for those.. stay away..but If you do your research you will find a great system. CAI, Vararam, ADM, and Roto posted great numbers. Yes.. over 10 hp on a stock un-tuned engine. I don't know how some people don't see that achieving 10 hp for 300 dollars isn't a rather decent deal when you are dropping thousands and thousands of dollars for 70-100 hp with cam conversions and cam swaps or 7k to go forced induction w/out labor for numbers that still wont gather 200 hp. The intake will reach another level of potential with additional mods... mods that won't put you over 4k. As stated, it will create a deeper exhaust note and can really clean up your engine bay versus the plastic hunk-o-junk, cluster we had stock. ...my mpg increased as well after headers, intake, exhaust... but I attribute that more to the tune than the intake.

I can't wait to put one on my car. I think I am going with the RotoFab with color match. Even if it doesn't add a lot of HP, the noise and look will be worth it. IMO

I cant find the thread right now, but there was another one where like 7 different setups were tested. And in this test, if I remember correct, it said the stock airbox ranked #2 for throttle response. Does this mean with most col air setups you will lose throttle response? Also, anyone remember which was #1 for throttle response?

I paid $280 for my BBK. It's all chrome and blue, looks awesome, makes my exhaust note deeper, gave me noticible HP and torque gain... well worth it
![]() CAI Inc is #1 for both HP and throttle response. However, I don't like the look of it AT ALL.

There you have it, the I's have it. I would not run any performance car without cold air induction, don't care what you buddy said.
