Your rear plate will have to be destroyed because that plate number will be entered as a stolen plate and you do not want to be driving around with that on your car as you will be stopped and there will be plenty of guns pointed at you when you do... That is the best case scenario if you try that approach.

If they do not believe you, and trust me, they most likely will not, you could end up going to jail for filing a false police report which is a much more severe charge. If you think that they won't figure it out, keep in mind that you already admitted that it wasn't stolen on a fully public website... I'd recommend you do the right thing and take care of it appropriately. You have the right to not put a front plate on your car, but you also know that there are consequences to making that choice.

Now, with that being said, Minnesota does require a front plate as well, and it drives me crazy... I debated for quite some time as to what I was going to do with mine. It almost made me cry when I had it installed. It was a very difficult decision for me and I even had more possible negative consequences as it could have affected my job in addition to my pocket book. so I do understand.

What I'm trying to say is that you made your choice by not putting it on. Now make a responsible choice and pay the fine. Or go to court and lie through your teeth. If you have integrity, the choice will be an easy one. Either way, good luck with whatever direction you go.
I already put the check in the envelope to be mailed tomorrow. So I'm not trying to get out of this one anymore, I'm just gonna get that pull out license plate thing from the video off amazon for 42 bucks.

i live in tx and don't have my front plate on. I've gotten stopped so many times in so many different counties about it and yet to get a ticket. i just refuse the thought of drilling holes into my camaro............most of the time i tell the good men in blue that my car didn't come with a bracket and that non of the local dealerships have any on hand..........theres been a couple of times I've told the cops that i just didn't want to drill holes in my car and shockingly they have agreed with me and let me off with a warning.

My front plate is in the trunk. I've never put the front plate on any of my Camaros. Not to be contentious, I just think it ruins the appearance of the car. I have been cited for this issue in the distant past.

My front plate is hanging on the wall in the garage being used as a decoration. I have personal plates and the plate number (all letters in our case) is our daughters name.
I refuse to run a front plate until it becomes absolutely necessary.

It's all in my sig pic. 11 of us club members went for a cruise a few weeks ago and came across a state police checkpoint for reg/inspection. Only 3 of the 11 had a front plate. The only thing the trooper asked was to the first first guy in line,"Are you guys going to transform?" They mostly don't give a crap in this area of the state. Besides, if bikes are exempt, why aren't we?

This is what mines doing to. Going on two years with no front plate and never been pulled over. Knock on wood though

You must have a front plate in Texas. Kind of like seat belts IT'S THE LAW so why go around asking for trouble. Just my 2 cents.

I have it inside the car displayed in the windshield area, so at least it's visible. I will look into one of those hideaway ones though...pretty cool.
