Chevrolet: why we lead to believe in a lie?

I would like to take a moment and be transparent and humble.
I struggled yesterday trying to find errors in my ways yesterday
About the "bumper issues."
Yes this is another bumper thread. If it bothers you to read then i would ask you not to continue reading. I have taken great comfort out of being able to help others regarding all camaros, not just 5th gen.
Today i found myself doing some soul searching as to why the
Whole bumper/poser saga had me so upset. I had to ask myself
Why this would annoy me so. I came to the conclusion that i was shocked
To find people adding zl1 bumpers to a camaro when the hood, fascia, bumpers
Are not interchangeable. Directly to my point. I have lied to you.
On purpose? No. Where did i come up with the lie? Chevrolet.
I realized that i had defended a lie repeatedly on c5. More than once.
The question? Are the hood and bumpers from zl1 interchangeable on other models? My answer every time? No. Why is my answer no? Because "no" has been passed down via c5. You see i held on to the lie that zl1 owners would have something unique as we would not even see other camaros down the road sporting the zl1 fascia. If the answer to the question would have been "yes"
The bumpers hood fascia are interchangeable, then what would be to defend?
We could all look forward to some ss models and lt models having the front end appearance. So. My sincerest apology for defending what i thought was to be truth when it wasn't. The truth now. Is the front bumper zl1 fascia interchangeable? It appears to be true given by the photos.
Good day.

Who cares. Lots of Mustang guys convert their front ends to GT500 front ends. Now if someone threw a ZL1 bumper on their car and pretended like it was a ZL1 when it wasn't...then they're a poser. Other than that, who cares.

It's as bad as people installing ZL2 hoods on 68's.

It's not true yet. Yes it can be mounted to the current SS model, but the photos are only one piece of the bumper. There are 3 or so other pieces that make up the lower portion of the front fascia.

Let's just refer to it as an 'Error', rather than a 'Lie'.

I say we call these ZL1 imposters Viagra Camaros

Just kidding...what is wrong with somebody adding a more aggressive nose...hell people add the Transformers cut outs all the time...do we call them names?

To each his/her own. A true ZL1 owner won't care about the LTZL1 or SSZL1 at all...they will just enjoy the 580 ponies kicking them in the azz each time the loud pedal is pushed.

GM lied about the ZL1 Facia not fitting the standard cars. He repeated said lie based on what he was told about the ZL1 facia. GM made a liar out of him.

I said they's likely fit from the beginning, because there were no changes mentioned about the fendersm aprons, radiator support, strut towers or any other structural part. Perhaps we'll see different absorbers and bumper bars, but that's likely it.

You did no wrong - I think GM reps' may have just mis-spoke, like they had on the HID fog and DRLs... No biggie

You are not alone - synergy edition is not really limited (bunch of fake 2011 synergy cars running about) and plenty of v6 cars sport the SS badge right from the factory.

Take solice in knowing the ones who would recognize your beloved status symbol as a status symbol (ie the bumper shape) are few and far between. A vast majority of the billions of people on the planet will simply say, "interesting looking car, I like the bumper"

Good day.
Don't feel bad because everyone wants to believe the ZL1 is some kind of entirely re-designed (from the gournd up) Camaro.
