rock + windshield = NIGHTMARE!

Windshield replaced the minute I got home. If you have a choice- replace the windshield always. its not that big of a job/deal.

I've got a little chip on mine, as well, and I'd been wondering what to do. I'd heard from some people that the safelite epoxy thing was awful, from some it was ok. I'd heard some people, here, say that if you have a 2LT or 2SS you had to have a special windshield because of your HUD. I remember from about 10-12 years ago, the last time I had to replace a windshield (on both of my cars only a few months apart) the insurance company and the company who replaced my windshield said I could only have it done free one time on each car. After that, I'd have to pay for it. (I'm in FL).

So the epoxy thing is seeming advantageous because I don't have to wait on special order windshields and run through my only free replacement (unless things have changed) for a small chip.

WE have ZERO glass deductable in Mn. If the chip is in the drivers eyesight it can not be filled. The windshield must be replaced. I had the windshield replaced 5 times on my 1999 monte before it was sold. It's why I have insurance.

Thank God I have a zero deductible on comprehensive. Our freeways (101 freeway) around here are shit, rocks are always getting kicked up. Gone through 3 windshields in the past 2 years on our cars.

My thoughts... if a rock is coming at me..... PLEASE hit only the windshield!

Could have been worse, and hit the paint!
