Thanks for the link. It explains alot.
Looks like I might be giving the car back. Good thing I kept the stock mufflers.
If they dont buy the axle-back or black outs, they will be coming off and get the car back with the stock mufflers in the trunk.
I will miss her though.
Now I just have to find money somewhere for the ZL1. LOL
The dealer just called and is still trying to get me financed even if I have to use my Dodge Ram as collateral.
I will not pay more for financing or a down payment. I signed a deal for a certain amount.

I do not blame you for not wanting to spend more. Is there any chance of a co signer?

I dont know your credit history or anything but my score is around 660 and with 1500 down I got 5.5% financing on 72 months. Being 23 with not a long credit history I thought that was great.

I know of a Chevrolet dealership in fox lake who is known for that. What dealership was this at if u dont mind me asking. Send it in a PM if you feel more comfortable with that.

worst horror story i have heard is this happening and the dealership selling the trade in vehicle already.
i betting its raymond

Try a local credit union? If you have one available thru your employer..
Lot of them have open enrollment

Pull the aftermarket stuff off before you return it. Not gonna get anything from the dealer for it and can atleast use it recover some money. Or sell it to put more down, might help...

Dealerships suck , that's why I screw them . Contact Becky Chevrolet on here and see if they can help you out of this.

I have done a little more research. The scam is called spot delivery. Anyone looking to buy a new car should google it. They take advantage of people with bad credit by letting them drive off thinking they own the car and then try to get you to pay more in financing or more of a down payment after telling you they want the car back.

They said they misplaced the second key and had to order a new one and it hasn't come in yet. That should have been my first clue.

My girlfriend already got rid of her car so she will be without a car if I give it back.

I havent mentioned the dealer yet, but I will once I give the car back and the original deal has fallen through.

This happen to me in 1997, also a Chevy dealership. I drove off in a brand new 1997 30th aniv z-28. 2 weeks later they pull the same bs about financing fallin through. I kept it for 2 more days and took the bitch back with bald tires and 1k on the odometer. I got my trade in back and cash from down payment. Then waited a few months and bought a 98 cobra. So it worked out for me in the end! Keep your chin up!
