New Mars Rover Wheels

The new Mars rover, named curiosity, launched last week and it safely on its way. What I really like about the new rover, aside from its nuclear power plant, is the wheels! The 20" wheels are awesome. I'd like to see a similar wheel design for my Camaro.

Hmmm, I wonder if Nitto Nt05's would fit on those wheels? They sure look very light, great track wheels!

Didn't Michelin put out some tires/wheels similar to that? They were like solid tires (no air in them) that were "made" onto the flexible spokes of the wheel. I remember seeing them, but I think it was just a concept idea....

Edit: found a picture of what I was thinking of....

The rover has a top speed of 2 inches per second. Mars gravity is 38% of earth. In other words, that design would self destruct within minutes on your camaro.

They do look bitchin' tho...
