The paddle shifts act differently depending on which mode you are in (traction control button) With everything off they are near instant.

I liked them in my v6. They were pretty much the same time wise as shifting.

I just find that when questioned manual drivers that feel the auto is slow drove it with all the Nanny controls on. Which is not a valid display of the vehicles capabilities. And an L99 is an LS3, just with the AFM, one cam swap and its gone. And test after test the stock auto edges the manual slightly due to gearing. The "loss" of 26 hp does nothing, although review of dynos will show that even that number fluctuates car to car.

Valid point. However, when driving normally, which is 85 percent of my driving, the shifting is way too slow. When I did step on it, it took too long to react. I'm no novice, I know that the "nannies" make a difference. I'm talking about daily driving.

Was thinking the same when i read the below. Also when the L99 is broken in....words cant describe it!

Either way i still like manuals too.

With the Nannies on it goes oh ok, then it goes OH OK. Which is too slow. Turn the nannies off and put it in S mode (manual without shifting) make sure you want to go before you take your foot off of the brake......

Next time I drive one, I'll do that! The one I drove was at the dealer, they keep you on a tight rope to say the least.
