DiabloSport inTune and Warranty

I received an email introducing the inTune from DiabloSport. One line in the feature list caught my eye. Is is possible that it is truly warranty safe?

Cool Now all they have to do is offer TCM Support and I will be a Happy Camper.

Ted,

According to a thread on the DiabloSport forum, a DiabloSport rep responded to a thread related to 6.2L with the 6L80 on Silverado. He stated that if TCM was not available at launch (apparently it wasn't) it would be no more than a couple of weeks after.

Is this what you are referring to?

Also, do you think it is for real? I'm the one from Texas that has been chatting with you recently in email about headers, tunes, and warranties and I am hoping something like this is the solution to my issue.

Yes Currently As Diablo Chipmaster Revolution Tuners do not have Access to the TCM tables so we can't tune the trans, and a tune for an L99 Car is not a tune without the Trans side done.

I suspect Anything is Possible but Who Really knows for sure and is it most cars or all cars they are referring to?

Ted.

Important GM Vehicle Note: 2011 & 2012 GM vehicles with 8th digit in the vin G are not supported.

Not necessarily true, Although the hand held supports some functions on the 6l80 We as Custom Tuning Dealers Have No Access.

Why? Only Diablo Knows.

I would love to be able to tune the 6l80 with Diablo CMR Tuning Software.

Then I can better support My Diablo Customers.

Ted.

I cannot say for sure as the thread was hijacked and the remainder of the posts were in cyrillic or just plain old gibberish. I am going to keep my eyes on this.

Of course since I have an LS3 with a stick would you see it as potentially being a good fit for me? Can you provide tunes that would work with the inTouch?

It is suppose to take the place of the Predator and I expect I will be able to provide custom tune via this device just like the Predator and Trinity.

I am excited about this product and heard about it 2 years ago.

That bites! I guess people can use Diablosports TCM tune until they make it available for tuners like you to fine tune it.

Ted what's your opinion on it being untraceable and not voiding your warranty? I plan on getting a tune in the near future and was sold on the SCT and a custom tune from you. Do you think it's possible to make a tune go unnoticed

That's exactly what I am hoping to find out. I get the "pay to play" stuff but I am from a small town and my experience with dealer service locally and tunes (DiabloSport Predator on my 2005 Ram) is that if your window motor fails, it must be because of my tune.

I only have 3K miles on my car right now. I am okay paying for drivetrain issues due to "outside of design parameters" but I want the rest to be covered. In my mind, it's just better to not have to answer questions about a tune.

I'd also love to be able to tune to get the most out of my CAI and High Flow Cats but only if it definitely cannot be detected once reverted back to stock.

Diablosport tunes have yet to be detected on any make and model car if reverted back to stock prior to going to the dealer (at least there have been no complaints in the years its been out anyway). I have known several people that have used it and had warranty work successfully. Of course tuning will be at your own risk!!

Until it is tested for sure on a current model vehicle we don't know.

The Device would have to have a way of resetting the Flash counter, which is independent of the Tune it self.

I will discuss this with SCT and see what they have to say.

Ted.
