I talked to my dealer today and the whole remote start parts and labor (minus the key fob) is $255 installed. So basically I'm saving $150 by doing it myself. The cheap bastard in me says to do it myself, but the other side of me says let them do it so that my A pillar dosn't look like shit when i cant get it to fit back the way it used to before I took it off. Not sure what I'm gonna do.

so you dont really need the 150$ kit, just need the new Key and programming from dealer? You will just suffer from lowered signal distance?

I doubt it, too many liability questions unless the system is designed specificly for a manual installation..

was at the dealer today, and they ran my vin (2010 LS )and said my car cant have factory remote start... im so dissapointed

has anybody heard of this ?

I don't see why it can't, Mine is a 2010 LS and I added the Factory Remote Start, unless it's a Standard. They can only add it to Automatics

shadow do you remember what they charged your for the new key fobs?

he is now telling me that its possible and that the new key fobs are going to cost like $250 each
