RPM Transmission, ZR1 Clutch kit DSS 9 inch package with 4.10 gears BeCool Radiator, Bogart Wheels, Pfadt Control arms and toe links BMR Front Springs only for the Raked look. Before we throw parts at this a bit more information would be a great help. What gears are you running in your RPM transmission? What is the the rolling diameter of your slicks? What are the alignment specifications in the rear for toe and camber? You mention your front sway is in place. At the strip you want to disconnect one front and link and carefully secure it. That will help with weight transfer at launch. You already knew this. The raked look is cool, but doesn't facilitate weight transfer. You already know this too. Information aside, if it were my 1,000+ 5th Gen I would install my OE front coils, make sure my rear camber was set to -.5 or less with my toe IN at .10, disconnect my front sway bar and make a couple of passes. This eliminates a number of variables in the equation and gives you a good baseline for evaluation and potential upgrades. If you want to skip all these steps, I'll be happy to help you spend your hard earned mod money with Pedders. You know, the guys that replaced brand-x suspension on the Lingenfelter's Black Pig. Yea i would put the front OEM springs back on. Disconnect the front sway bar ( at the track ONLY) to help with the front end. Take small steps at a time. I wouldn't throw parts at it yet.

Hi Ray,
Please have a look at the suspension we are offering for your Camaro. This would be the same setup we used on our black car: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181674 I definitely agree that if you could get free up some more front end travel and control the rebound on the rear, there is some more 60 ft to be had. Just let us know if you have any questions on what we can offer. Jeff |

With the IRS rear suspension there is no way to change the intant center or the height of it because you have fixed rearend cradle. That is the biggest downfall of a IRS car for dragracing. IRS wasnt made for drag racing ,thats why GM made there drag-street Copo Camaro with a straight axle. But if be patient you can get your car somewhat better with some work. Also , just because some sells you a set of coilovers you still need to now what to to with them, meaning how to have the right settings on them for how your car is reacting on the launch.

The above time slip was when we first changed to the Supercar coilovers, we had been mired in the mid 1.5x 60 ft with our previous suspension. Further development of a specific drag race shock now gives us a consistent 1.3x 60 ft with a best of 1.304, IRS Manual 6 speed weighing 4200 lbs. Once again I would like to thank Pedders for the excellent support in developing this suspension package, maybe 1.2x is in the near future. ![]() Graham. |

I think they may be sitting on some times they don't want to disclose...

We can't tell brand-x everything we do and know
That is why I left it open in my original post for LPE to post their 1.304 60'.... or not Clients are different and get the best of everything, but that is off line. They are Drag Racers and race to win so they don't tell everyone everything they know

LPE has been the best partner I have had the pleasure to work with. Their data logging is incredible measuring shock travel, speed of travel and so much more. Couple the data logging with video and you have great information to work with. Add Lingenfelter power to this and the result is the new LPE Drag Coilover Package. The LPE Drag Coilover Package is EXCLUSIVE to LPE and available ONLY at LPE. |

I cannot comment on either the Pedders or Pfadt full drag race coilover setup as we have not used either full out drag setup.
We were having a huge issue with negative launch camber that was solved after the addition of the rear Pfadt suspension bushings & the coilovers. The car would blow the tires loose 20' out of the hole because there was so much negative camber and contact patch loss. We are now in the consistent 1.4x 60' range with the Pfadt street coilovers with drag springs in a full weight Camaro (4118lbs). The coilovers have a huge adjustable range to them but we have used the same settings that Blair had suggested (2 front/5 rear). 2011 Camaro SS - ECS Supercharger Kit Novi 1500 - Stock Bottom End - Pfadt Street Coilovers with Drag Springs - Pfadt Rear Bushing Set, Adjustable Toe Rods, Trailing Arms - Pfadt Rear Drag Bar - Mickey Thompson Street II Drag Radials on 18" C6Z Rims - Stock 20" Front Tires/Rims Consistent mid 1.4x 60'. 9.872 1/4 1.47 60' (Best pass was 1.43 on a 10.10 no meth pass) |
