Manual Shifting to redline in DS lends you faster times..... with power braking to 1500-2000 rpm and VDC off. If you get the launch right you can get some pretty good numbers... A G35 auto did 13.5 and 13.6 @ 103 on dragtimes.com doing this

I get .1-.2 and 1 mph faster than G37 sedan with my mods, but these engines don't have much potential left for modding. Nissan plans on going Direct Injection and getting 370+ hp(it already has 350 without it in the 370Z and HYUNDAI, of all people, is putting a 350 hp DI 3.8 in their Genesis Coupe).
I definitely have some type of posi-traction because I can leave TWO black stripes on the pavement. Again...I didn't exactly buy the Inifiniti to be my performance car....got that covered in the SS, but I am impressed by the performance it has. The performance was kind of what tipped the scales for me over some of the other "luxury" cars I considered.

Worse. There's another model of a Hyundai that has 429hp. Imagine, overly hyped up SS getting walked by a Hyundai.

It's gonna cost almost $50,000--I don't feel as bad when someone has paid $12000 more than me, going a little bit faster.

Mine is spot on when I shift. It might be a different between v6 and v8.

Put the shifter in the same place you normally would for manual mode, but don't touch the paddles (buttons?). This will put you in S mode.

On second thought, there is no S mode. You shouldn't be racing people.

Same here I will have to take my fiancee's car to the track, I knew it was pretty quick, but I didn't think it would hold a candle to the Camaro SS. Hopefully it dosen't or I will never hear the end of it.

No offence but the v6 model is not very fast To today's standards. Most cars today such as bmw and infiniti and much more avg 300hp from the factory and all that weight don't help. When I go to the track I see most people run high 14s in them. And even low 15s. And thats here in PA at cecil county drag way. With cold temps...
