As this is why I put smilies after very thoughtful Replys if it was taken otherwise it was not meant to be that way .
I went to several meets before my Husband & I joined this Club in North Texas
Area . We were greeted respect and kindness and were never pressured in any way I got my Camaro in April visited with different groups I joined LSC in August and still visit with friends that get together non-club meets . I also heard some rumors about LSC but I didn't let those stop me from checking them out and I found that that's not at all the way I was greeted nor was it the way I greeted them they are an awesom group of people . So I can speak of both sides having been a non- member and a happly "Paid " member of this club I look at it this way I've met some awesome Camaro People either way

And the so called President who you claim is annoys people, must definately be someone different from another club. The president I know from that club knows probably most Gen5 owners in the nation and has great relationships within GM such as Scott Settlemire, etc.

He has represented this club in a positive manner, meeting with other Camaro clubs from around the U.S. and the guy will wake up at 3:00 in the morning to drive 100 to help you change your tire.

Yeah, must be thinking of someone else.

Based on the LSC web site it's supposed to be Camaro21 which is who made the statement above to basically not come unless you pay to be a memeber first. Unless the Camaro21 user on the LSC site is different than the Camaro21 on this forum. I'm assuming they are one in the same though.

I was just basing my thoughts from what I was told by my salesman and then what I saw on this thread. I was told that I would probably be pushed to join right away if I go to a club event and then one of the first posts I read with the LSC says to not come unless you pay your membership first. I do know that some times what someone puts in writing can be misinterpred by the person reading it but that's what it says.

I'll see about coming out to something next year but I'll be honest, I'm going to be apprehensive from the get go.

1. We ARE having an officer change-over this Saturday. It is a 100% paid by LSC event, which is why it's a members only event.

2. Almost everyone that has responded here in this thread is a member of LoneStarCamaro, including myself. We are all just people, so you'll always get a mix of personalities, just like in any other group. Most of us, are wonderful people who like to hang out and get to know each other, look at our Camaros, and tell jokes about Mustang owners. (I'm only kidding, by the way).

3. The event for January is not posted up yet, but when it is announced, we'd love to have you (or anyone else for that matter) come out to check us out.. for FREE without any pressure to join.

Texas Fbody association beats you up for a yearly 20-25 for club dues.
Again this to cover expenses such as food, etc Not unusual at all.

I just wanted to chime in here since I used to be a member but not currently. My experience with LSC was very pleasent. I was in no way pressured into joining at any time. The few events I was able to attend while (and while not) a member were very enjoyable and everyone I met and talked with were very nice and approachable. So MrsTXCamaro don't believe everything you hear. Go hang out and make up your own mind. You won't be dissappointed I assure you. These are great folks who do great things through the club. If I can ever find time to get to some of the events I will definately be joinning again! LSC rocks in my book!
