Quick question. I just got back from my dealership and they said even though I submitted my order back in October (I have an order number) I would not be in the first group to get mine unless I was willing to pay $5,000 over MSRP. Does that sound right?

Ummm NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Did they inform you of the absurd $5000 markup when you ordered? Did you get the original order in WRITING for MSRP?

Right? Objectively it sucks but if you knew it going in, it is what it is. The dealer has every right to try to sell the cars for whatever he wants.

Yes I got the MSRP when I ordered. But he didn't say there would be a $5,000 markup. There is no way to move my order to another dealership is there?

Did you have it in writing from them that they would be selling it to you at MSRP?

No, there's no way to "move" your order to another dealer. You have to cancel with them and get at the back of the line of another dealer (if you can find one selling at MSRP will some of their production guide left). I would go back to the dealership and speak with the manager and/or owner and go about it that way. If you get shot down, cancel and go elsewhere. That is unless, of course, you're insane enough to spend $5000 over MSRP on the car....

Maybe I'm missing something. It just seems like his priority number has been lowered to "X" because he's not in the "first" group of idiots willing to pay 5k over MSRP. He apparently is getting MSRP.

Ah yea. Well I was referring to staying in the first group and still getting MSRP. I'd be pissed and taking it up with management/ownership.

Bergstroms in Neenah, it is a sold order but they let me check it out. It was in the srevice area getting cleaned up. They have to add the black stripe yet but it is a beutiful jewel tint with black interior, 2ss 6spd. I did get a video off the abl bot I am having trouble connecting my blackberry to my pc to post it.

I don't see this guys car on vin track but it is built and is on the rails. Maybe I'm missing it, but if not this is good news if vin track is not getting all the cars.
