Sticker price always has something to do with it, its why you dont cry at night knowing a ferrari can beat you, and why you would be pissed if a stock kia optima beat you.

Price is what puts cars in general categories, theres no reason to compare all of two cars features if they arent in the same price range.

And it means, he beat him with a 50k-60k G37 or something, he has 25k V6 camaro, it just another factor to consider, like if he put 25k more dollars in his car he could destroy the g 37 no doubt.

I wouldnt worry about it

Yea, have fun modding a bmw. Gotta have big bucks to do anything to those cars.

See vroomapunk's post about car prices... the BMW and Infiniti are much more expensive... different class of car....

G37 starts out at $35k, fully optioned $39-42k. Where the hell did you pull the $60k number from ?

It's cheaper than an equally equipped SS.

Yes....I paid a little over $39,000 for my G37....sticker on it was right about $41K. Thank goodness it doesn't come close to my SS (currently running 12.36...and it was a very low 13 second car still stock), or I would have to eat some serious crow with a co-worker of mine.

What did the G37 run at the track, Im just trying to make sure if I take wifey's to the track I dont get beat. I ran pretty consistent low 13's with 1 pass in the 12's stock. But now I have done a couple of mods.

I wouldn't cry at night if a stock Optima beat my car. What do I care how much other cars cost or how fast they are? I drive to work and back, and about 6 times a year will do an HPDE. At those events, I have Ferraris wave me by, and I wave by cars that have half the horsepower. And it's a ricer argument to say "if he put X amout of money in this car it would destroy that car"...pure rice.

Oh! I don't know.....I haven't been there yet with my Infiniti, but this thread has me intrigued and interested to find out. According to others in this thread, a Stock G37 should run mid to high 13's. Whereas a stock Camaro SS should run at least low 13's. However....I know some SS folk running in the high 13's and even 14's....so make sure you do your fuse pull on that Camaro before taking it out there!!!

On the track D VS M = .3 slower and maybe bragging rights.

I don't think I've ever tried the Camaro in "D" mode....I've always used "S." However....I'm 3-5 tenths (yes tenths) faster when I turn T/C and Stabilitrack off (hold down for 7 seconds).
