The objective is to get to the championship game (world series, SB, Stanley cup, etc.......) And then win it. Winner is champ undisputed hands down end of story.

The best team is the one who accomplishes the objective. Period.

Difference in the NFL, you have to survive the playoffs. The regular season is only used to set the bracket. What the bcs did this year would be like the steelers facing the ravens in the super bowl.

Which is why osu should be in the nc. They won their conference, had a slightly more difficult schedule, and played one more game. In baseball they would have 1/2 game lead over alabama. Also if osu won, then LSU lost to a team that lost to iowa state. If alabama wins, then it becomes a paradox like a time traveler becoming his own father.

I think a playoff similar to the nfl would be best. Top six teams, no more than two teams per conference, top two teams get a bye, and a week before christmas the playoffs are done, and a week after the new year play the nc game. You can still have the the other crap bowls, and no team is playing more than 15 games a season.

OSU lost to a non ranked team that they were favored by 28 points and had a 24-7 lead but enough of that debate.......

Alabama and LSU will play Jan 9th for the National Championship. Period. Whoever wins this game is the winner. Love it or hate it this is what we have now.

I watched the Espn Awards show last night and Roy Kramer was recognized. ( The founder of the BCS and Conference Championship games) and what he said was true..what we have now is alot better than what we had before. Sure it needs to be tweaked but it is what it is.

Schools do not mind cashing those BCS game checks do they? Pretty much everyone I talk with about this says LSU and Alabama are the 2 best teams......BUT we would LIKE to see LSU play OSU........... Hell I want GM to GIVE me a ZL1.

As PQ stated earlier to many times in todays society EVERYONE gets a trophy for participation because we are too politically correct and do not want to hurt anyones feelings. Childern in our area can not even chatter at the batter during Little League in case he strikes out..They do not want to hurt the childs feelings.

Seriously? Hurt his feelings.......People need to get their heads out of their butts and realize that sometines you are just not that good. Everyone doesn't get a participation prize in life and the fact remains that sometimes people are just better than you at some things and if you want success in those areas that you need to try harder. I know this has nothing to do with this subject but just had to rant. Rant Off., LOL

One thing is surely for certain though...there has never been so much interest in college football nation wide......people in Stillwater, watching what goes on in Eugene, Or, people in Tuscaloosa, Al watching what is going on in Norman, Ok I reaaly think that with a little common sense, a few tweaks to the BCS like a plus one game that this can easily be fixed.....but as they say you can't please everyone all the time.
