EYE CANDY

We all have our likes and dislikes, so on this issue, let's just agree to disagree. I like the hold car to get attention, not just the car, and not just the wheels. The wheels should balance out the look of the car, not over-state or under-state the car. But, as i said before, we like what we like.

I think chrome (or polished) looks best on light colored cars. But, on black or CGM cars, I like black rims too. It makes them look sinister.

No wheel finish is perfect for every car. Each and every single car needs to be looked at as an individual design project. Follow a theme that is consistent. Some cars this works with a chrome wheel, others it works better with a black wheel. Just like the wheel styling itself, every car has body lines that either accent with the wheel choice, or clash with it.
I always get a LOL about these black vs chrome type threads. There is no right answer, everyone has their own preference. Even the best automotive designers and custom builders aren't too narrow minded to prefer one over the other. It simply depends on the project at hand, and the goals you are looking to achieve with the visual statement of the car.

Hmm idk maybe because he likes the way they look and didn't do it for anyone else. It'd weird people in this thread saying black wheels blend in and disappear, so how is that trying to get attention. If anything putting chrome wheels on a car is trying to get attention. Stock is boring.

You're right, she doesn't. She doesn't even like the black chrome of my Havoc's either. She likes chrome, polished, or even different colored (i.e. body color) wheels better than black.

Black wheels certainly look rusty and dirty after a few days of not washing i hate it especially since mine r glossy so its even worse! I really regret doing the whole black on black thing it only looks nice the first day after washing em

Yeah, they sure are a pain in the you know what to keep clean. When they're dirty on my car I don't think they look too bad because it's still a dark contrast to the brighter SW color. Not that I like them dirty, it's just that I usually only get around to cleaning them once a week.

What he said...chrome looks cheap as Hell..look at all the little cheap economy cars with Chrome grills and wheels and door handles...Hell they even have trucks you can buy with the chrome package which includes even more tacky Chrome stuff...the only people I know who love chrome are like 60. That's just my opinion...to each his own.
