NY area roll out delayed until May 8th

I just got back from my dealer and they told me the unveiling is pushed back to the 8th at least in the NY metro area. The told me it coincides with the Mets game on that day. 50 Dealerships are picking up their cars at the game and driving them back to their dealerships. They said the thought that there would be two cars for each. That would be a sight,100 Camaros driving away from the new City Field. Bad new is I'm still at 3000, 3rd week.

It's not BS. We pick up our Camaro's at Citi Field, watch the game, and then drive them back to the stores that night to display on May 8th.

In fact, we contacted the Long Island Camaro Club and are going to have a display and quasi-Camaro cruise in on Saturday May 9th.

Stay tuned.

They're just going to be sitting out there in the parking lot during the game? Are you going to be offering any rides by any chance? Maybe I'll buy tickets...

This is not really a delay but more of a better plan / experiance. Sounds like a good thing not bad.

I went to the Yankee game yesterday and it was kind of embarrassing how many empty seats around home plate there were for the second game of the new stadium. I guess that's what happens when you charge $2600 a seat.

I heard the same thing for here in California, May 8th, and yes the cars are not buyers cars they are dealer cars... but! I wouldnt put it past a dealer or two to say your car has not arrived and hold it till then and let you pick it up at the chow, which would be cool too.

Makes sense to me, why would you have a big unveiling on a weekday. I would save it for the weekend when the general public would be able to make it to it?
