I am getting the run around from Chevy - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Guys, maybe it's me, but i last week i was on the Chevy.com website and the color Crystal Red Tintcoat appeared. I called local dealers near me and one said the color was NOT availble for 2012 and the other said it was. Next i researched this forum and most of the posts said that the color was coming out after the New Year. O'k i am fine with that. Now i call Chevy, and they tell me they have no info to give me. ( They work for Chevy mind you). I just left the chat area of their website and the experts once again told me it is not coming out. Does anyone have any updated info on this color that you can pass on to me. Or am i going to have to settle?

Well, from what I've read it IS available. It may just be that both the first dealer and whoever you called at Chevy doesn't even know about it yet. Idk. The first dealer sounds like he's bs'ing you though.

It is not yet available and probably won't be until spring....

Thanks so much for the information Fbodfather. I will keep my fingers crossed that it will be available in Jan. or February.

Ive heard from multiple dealers that Ive spoken to personally, that it will be available early next year, and since production on 2012's dont stop to april, you should be able to order a 2012 in CRT.

ALSO, the 2012 Camaro brochure lists it as an available color, and also has pictures inside in CRT. They all say limited or interim availability, but that just means that it will not be out the entire 2012 model period.

I called my local dealer, and she said that I could order it now, and when the color was available in the next couple months, the order would be filled.
