Average about 20.5. Not really impressed because we had an LS1 SS a few years back and got about the same. But it's is about 6 mpg better then the 73!

I think my lifetime average with 4k miles on the car is 21. I get 26.3 on the highway pretty regularly, and 19 or so around town. I expected 16 and 22 so this greatly exceeds my expectations.

I'm impressed by it - getting 17-19mpg most of the time (not always....), which is way better than my SUV!

I'm impressed with the highway mileage. I've seen 27 MPG on a 90% highway/10% city tank. Not many 420+ hp, V8 powered cars can claim this. City mileage is decent but it goes down fast if you give the car more than 1/4 throttle.

Hell yeah I can go just over 450 miles on a tank when driving on the highway. When I would drive six hours straight one tank of gas would get me where I was going and I would still have a little under a quarter of a tank.

I hear that. I go from a 5.3L 275HP V8 to a 6.2L 426HP V8 and get about 4MPG better!!!! (although that 5.3L was under the hood of a big z71 Chevy Avalanche, so it's understandable... )

Yes. 20.1 MPG lifetime over 2k miles, 30% highway and 70% city. Better than my '71 Lemans 350 and '71 Chevelle 307 verts, each gave about 14 MPG overall.

36,000 miles and 4 rear sets if tires. Yeah I can live with my 13 in-town and 23 on the highway.
Oh did I say I enjoy my car. |

Not very impressed with the average. This month I've been doing 200 mile roundtrips daily [almost a tank a day] . I get a combined average of 17-19. So I spend close to 45 bucks a day on fuel but I signed up for the power so I'm not complaining.
It is possible to get an average of 22+ on the SS but that would only be possible by killing all the fun. I've found it impossible to keep the RPM's below 2K when you're over 65 MPH. And the typical average for most interstates[at least around here] is in the 65-75 band.
