Right there with you UCF! I was doing my best to be patient until the April concensus was done then even waited until they were closed out and the weekly allocation report was available Wednesday. I called on Thursday to see which week my car would be processed for production "pulled". My salesman knew nothing at all and said he would check with GSM on Friday because Thursday was his day off. Ok Friday came and went and did not get a call or email. Like you, if a customer of mine called wanting to know when his carpet was coming in and I never even bothered to respond to his request, I would be out of business pretty quick. Is communicating with us going to kill these poor bas#@rds? What the he## is wrong with them. With 1700 dealers scheduled to close by June 1st or lose their franchise why would any dealer be failing on such a basic customer service level? Well, rather than ranting on your thread UCF, I feel for you man....I feel your frustration. Keep your head up and try to cope with the bullsh#@ as best you can and pray that when the allocation comes up they actually process your order.

As a serious buyer you deserve their full attention and they should be catering to you.
You know, I have always gotten that impression from every dealer I ever mentioned ordering a car from. They will wheel and deal with me for any car on the lot, work with me, immediately take another $200 off the price of the closest car on the lot to what I want, find the car I want from another dealer somewhere, but please don't order a car. And if you do, it will be MSRP period. I've never been a car salesman, but I think it throws them off their game, makes them more vulnerable, and is much more of a hassle if you order a car. So I think a lot of salesmens attitudes is kind of "I suppose if I absolutely have to I will allow you to order a car, at great sacrifice to me".

No word on my order moving along, but the GSM called last month to see if I wanted to change my color from CGM.

w00t I would be upset too. At the end of the day, your dealer will make a profit off of you. This is a consumer leverage type of economy. You're the boss.

I do agree with RPO though. Wait til it's all over and then get their attention. You don't want to cause a situation where they want to screw you however they can. Is your deposit refundable? Mine is not so I'm being Mr. nice guy right now and not bothering them too much.

Be annoyed. The cash register is a big voting machine. Vote them out and do business elsewhere.

UCF, great thread....Within a few hours of posting I got a call from my dealer. Yep you heard it right....They called me! Sent a fax with my workbench order and it is underway and now at 3000. Maybe there is a God after all. I had all but resigned myself to continued fight to get it placed during the next allocation weeks but it went thru even without me knowing. Now your spasticsquirrel thread will be even more important to me. I am thinking that it should move up to production around May 8th so I will keep fingers crossed. No consolation to you situation but I wanted you to know that I still empathisize with the situation even though I got a good surprise today.

You've got AMMO... (not C4 LOL). Document it chronologically for a quick read and go calmly take it to the highest person you can find there.

I changed salesmen once when he tried to force me into a hurry up decision by saying someone else was looking at the car. The Mgr was more than glad to let me pick any other salesman. Commission is Commission. I found a nice guy who opened the door for me once gave the sale to him. Turned out to be a great salesman.

Do some reconnaissance and be ready to pick a new guy.

I believe people here have told forum posters who have had less problems than you to go to another dealer. I would..I made 1 trip to my dealer placed order on 3/22 or 27, I forget. Made 1 change with the stripe package and I'm now at 3000. So yes I'd be pissed if I were you.
