It's Official: Imperial Blue to be Discontinued...

Okay, you guys want another blue. I am surprised that noone has mentioned the Le Mans Blue from the 2004 Le Mans Commemorative Edition Corvettes! That color was amazing!! I'm sure the Corvette guys would object to using this color again. I almost bought one of the Z06 Commemorative Editions back in 2006.

We've been building Chevrolets for 100 years - and the paints are available thru our paint suppliers........think about it - if you wrecked a 2002 Camaro -you can still have it repaired...............................even tho we don't offer that paint anymore........

Sure hoping for a nice ABM-like blue by spring. So next time I go back to KY, I can take this same photo with it. I was really disappointed when ABM was cancelled, and it was a big factor in opting for a deep water blue 10' Challenger instead. But I'm a Camaro guy at heart, so hopefully a sharp looking medium blue 12' Camaro will be in my garage come spring

As other current IBM owners have said, yeah...it makes mine a little more rare. Not like ABM, but still...I love my paint scheme with IBM & SIM Stripes. Absolutely beautiful in the sun.

I really have to say that GM is really dropping the ball on this though. I don't mind IBM itself going away. As Fbodfather said, colors change and adapt over the years. But, to do away with all shades of blue for a year? Blue is not an uncommon color. There are very few car models that don't come with some form of blue. Bad decision, GM...
