Ford had he same issue. We had to wait extra to get our Candy Red Mustang because the candy red came from Japan. All of Ford's reds and blacks came from Japan. They found other vendors and got the colors going again.

Since they don't sell that many Mustangs I'm sure it was easier

Should i get the ZL1 or wait to see if they upgrade the 2013 to compete with the GT500?

You can easily fall into the trap of waiting forever. Maybe they up the power, maybe they don't. Then maybe Ford does the same and you go back and forth. I don't see them doing anything to get the power near the Fords in the near future. They aren't going to spend millions to delevope a new engine just for the zl1.

I would just get the ZL1 and if you unhappy then mod it to make 700hp. A pulley, headers, tune should be all it takes to get it up there.
