A baton is illegal in all 50 States, it is classified the same as a black jack and there is a Federal law against them. I got busted carrying one in Detroit and paid the price for it.

You may want to be more specific with the bat. If you're going to carry a bat, please make sure to carry gloves and a ball with you. I know it sounds crazy, but I won't be surprised if a rogue(is there such a thing?) DA tries to twist it saying that you're using it as a weapon strictly for self defense.

I got an old slapjack..... those things are badass..... nothing like a huge chunk of lead on the end of a piece of leather to make someone cooperate
