How can I make my pics better?

My car is so much cooler than I can show in my pathetic pics. A few for reference.
Any tips??

From what I've seen on the internet, if you can get a knife in the picture it somehow makes it better.

Those are nice though.

Lighting, composition and backdrop are important! Also helps to have Photoshop to clean it up and adjust things. I am no professional but those are just some tips that help me. Two of my older shoots, I need to do another one.

Thank you Sir! I just get frustrated with my pics. My car looks so good in person, pics just don't do it justice. I might get a professional to do a shoot.

Anybody in the St.Louis area interested? PM me please.

These are all key components to good photography but I learned my most important lesson from a National Geographic photographer. I asked him how he took all those great photographs and he laughed and said it's all in the numbers honey. He then told me that the average NG photographer took 40,000 pictures for every one that was published.

And although your composition and backdrop are lacking...I can tell your biggest problem is that you're not taking enough pictures from enough different angles to get the best shots.

Here's various pics that I have taken...and only one is photoshopped. But I took a bunch just to get the occasional one that I like. So keep clicking...

Add some depth to the pics. Try different distances. Try not to "center" your car in the pics too much, push it off to side abit. Always get all the car in the shot. If you shoot a nice pic and a piece of the car is not in frame, I'm talking a piece of the rim or bumper or even roof of the car. Unless your focusing snapping car parts or getting artsy avoid that. And always post process the pics. The'll come out way better with a littke tweaking. Hope that helps.

Hope you don't mind Evny, but I had to HDR one of your pics. I could better with a full res image.

The only 2 differences between your shots, and Ryan's and Envy's, are the backdrop and time of day. Avoid shooting midday when the sun is directly over head, after 10 am and before 4pm. That will render the best color and lighting angles.
