and i found this kinda odd...I currently have an 07 Cobalt sport and was curious about the insurance prices for the camaro so i asked my dad to call the insurance company and get the price of a Challenger R/T and shockingly it was only 20 more (not sure if it was 6 months or per year) than my cobalt. I dont see how this makes sense but i was happy so whatever.
For somebody who is supposed to be getting a full ride to college, I find it disappointing that you cannot spell "college".

Lucky SOB. Not about the camaro, but paid college -_-* But at least you are able to:

1) Have a job and disposable income.
and
2) Have parents that allow that kind of spending.

Stay slow, and stay safe. Don't flaunt it without making sure there aren't cops around. (Except for Tag, he's cool..)

I wasn't hating on you at all, congratulations you're getting a camaro because your parents are paying for it. I was simply pointing out the fact that I was raised to work for what i want and wasn't handed things, not saying that you're being handed this per say, i'm sure you deserve it, but i'm saying that I'd take alot more pride in the fact that I have accomplished a goal by buying it.

And i wouldn't say you're spoiled at all, you worked your balls off and got a ride to college, good for you, but you're being given a $30k+ 427hp Camaro, don't go and make a comment that your are truly sorry that people think all people who get a car given to them are spoiled, it'd be a different story if you got a minivan (ewww minivans).

There is a time and place for using all the horses this car has to offer, and that is on the track. Yeah you will feel awesome driving this car, but you don't have to prove it to your friends by being irresponsible and reckless. Safety first!

Seriously, and I'm not trying to sound like a dad here, I'm 27, divorced, and no kids. I can't imagine paying for a $30,000+ vehicle at 18. Will the creditors lend you the money, probably, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

After you get this car and your 500.00 car note then what? There are so many expenses once you get out on your own in most cases you are gonna be forced to sell the vehicle or live very poor.

If your parents are paying for it then great, if you have $10,000 to put down then great, but if you need to finance this on your own then you should really consider the future and just walk away.

I'm sure this will bring a whole uproar of teens on the waiting list with rebuttals left and right, but I just HAD to say something!
