So now that we are getting deliveries, has anyone tracked or process flow the average time it takes from 3000 to delivery? Is there even an average to corrolate yet? This is removing the on-hold cars from the equasion of course.

Are the cars being sent to the dealerships for display getting VINs? I ask because I am #1 at my dealer, yet the only one showing for my dealer is a 1LT and I have a 2LT.

We know at least some are. Not sure on exactly how it's all working though.

Dealer car

VIN #2G1FB1EV6A9103471 in your most recent post is definiteky a dealer show car, going to Michaels' Chev in Fresno Ca. I am #2 on their list and #1 has already been built, so this is not a customer car.....just FYI

Hey w00t...

It appears that production VIN count is in the lower 4000 range from other posts. For the most part, only 6 cylinder dealer cars have been added to your list since the middle of last week. Has GM changed the VIN system to hide recent cars from the spastic squirrel??

TPW is next week for me....finally.

Looks like all US V6s going to California. Makes sense that they would have to get showroom cars to California first.

There are lots of cars built not showing up on the tracker including mine. Not sure why, but my dealer called Sat. to confirm the build. They didn't leave the vin, and my contact at the dealer if off today. So I should have my vin
by tomorrow.

I feel like the baby of the group... I just got my order number, NJQS4T, and I'm at Event Code 2000. But it excited the hell out of me!

Do I keep bugging the dealer for updated event codes? I'm guessing that's the only way to get them.

To sum it up here's a history of our tracking abilities...

1. chevrolet.com worked great and showed all US customer ordered cars (e.g. not the one-per-dealer v6's)
2a. chevrolet.com stopped showing most but still had some in there sporadically (seemed like ones getting factory stripes)
2b. GM.ca was showing all customer built cars but didn't have MSRP and some other data
3a. GM.ca stopped working altogether
3b. one-per-dealer cars started showing up on chevrolet.com but customer cars are still a no-go.

I don't know if GM is doing this on purpose but it kinda seems like it. Pretty lame really. I don't see how it hurts anyone for us to have this information.
