From v6 Bumper to V8 bumper? whats needed? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well im going to hopefully buy a V8 bumper for my v6 and was wondering this.

what is needed or can be swapped over?

for example. can the v6 top grill be swapped over to the v8 grill or am i going to need to buy the top grill , bottom grill? im going to buy a LED scanner for the mail slot.

top grill can be reused the bottom can not, it is a total different size and shape

i did but im getting the bumper for like 150 with no grills or anything

so ill just swap over my top grill. and then add a bottom grill and a LED scanner

I did the v6 to v8 swap. All I purchased was the bumper and the lower grille, everything else i used off the v6 bumper.

The rubber air dam won't swap directly and the wheel well liners won't match up on the last bolt hole. Also, you may or may not want the grill for the mail slot.

The last (lowest) bolt that attaches the wheel well liner to the bumper cover won't line up, different shape. You could go as far as buying SS wheel well liners, or just not attach that last bolt.
