Smile TSP L99 CAM/HEAD package

Hello buds

I planning to run VVT cam in my L99.Worder if any one bought TSP CAM+ported HEAD package before?
Like this one:
http://www.texas-speed.com/p-570-prc...t-package.aspx

My question is Will this cam + ported head package add much more hp than just do cam themselves?TSP claiming over 140+ flywheel hp gain whichs I doubting??

Also will this package include everthing that transform from a standard L99 or I still need some other stuffs eg.AFM removal kit?

Last is I currently hae JRE tune via SCTx3 in my car.If I upgrade the TSP cam,Will I still be able to ask JRE to tune it or I have to get over again with TSP to tune it?I heard they can't do mail tune like JRE via SCT?

Please share!Thanks buddys

JRE can tune your car for the cam via mail order ... TSP VVT cams don't require removal of AFM so you don't need to do an LS3 conversion. It's a cheaper yet reliable route that many people have been taking. They make great low end power

They have a cam package for the AFM cam that allows you to properly remove AFM.

As long as you don't plan on getting a blower you'll be fine.

The lifters are the weak point. That's why so many of us go ls3 conversion.

TSP has two lines of cams for the L99... "AFM"= keep AFM/VVT and "VVT"= ditch AFM and keep the VVT cam phasing.

The VVT cams from TSP have higher lift and much more aggressive ramp rates "lobes" than there AFM cams do and require removing the AFM lifters. I do agree the AFM lifters are junk in a stock or modified application.

With PRC ported heads,VVT-3 cam,Kooks and CAI I picked up 121RWHP (319 stock/440 after) and that is thru a after market converter. Those are out standing numbers from a H/C package in my book. I could not be happier with this setup. What matters is how much HP you gain on a paticualar Dyno with your mods period.

Why is it not street-able? A lot of guys run with a lot more power than us and have no issues with street...but I can understand with the VV3. I will be going a bit more tame with VVT2.

He ment b/c U just tap the gas and it wants to spin around. If its on a turn have to be extra careful. His legs ware shacking it was pretty funny. Ha ha. He has a cammed fox body mustang but with stock stall. He was pretty shocked.

...hmm maybe we don't have that problem as much down here in the hot, sticky weather... I always wondered how that would on a drag strip with stocks on the back

...would be pretty emburrrrrrasing to mash the pedal and end up facing the tree again backwards.
