Lot of guys either go 20" or 22" because of the price of tires are cheaper then in a 21" size wheel .

I like the look of them, but considering the same thing if there are no other tire options

I'm wondering the same thing as the OP. I see that the Continental Extreme Contact DW may be a good option but only in slightly different sizes but an azz load cheaper than the Pirelli's.

Now I'm curious if we have any tire and wheel experts that think the following alternate sizes will work on the 21" and the 2010 Camaro SS at the stock ride-height?

Front Pirelli ($454) - 245 / 40 / 21 (28.6" tall by 9.5" Section width)
Rear Pirelli ($521)- 275 / 35 / 21 (28.6" tall x 10.8" Section width)

Continental Front ($197) 245 / 35 / 21 (27.8" tall x 9.8" Section width)
Continental Rear ($223) - 295 / 30 / 21 (28.0" tall x 11.9" Section width)

Prices are according to http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....DWXL&tab=Specs

If the Continentals will work, I'm going to pull the trigger real quick.

you couldn't run 21's with 20 in tires? Go for the 'stretched tire' look?

So where do we find a tire stretcher ??? I ended up reading OP question wrong thought he was asking for different wheel options in 21" . But I also would love to know what tire options are out there .

so i'm gathering the only option then for the factory 21's are the insanely priced oem p zero tires. i'd be fine with running those contenental 21's mentioned above, but i'm pretty sure the mismatched diameters would give the wheel speed sensors fits

Wouldn't you need to tune the speedo then with the continentals

It would only make a small difference that could be compensated for in your head or done properly with a tune. I think Superchips make a programmer just for calibrating tire sizes and speedometers.

My question still stands, will these Continentals fit on the GM 21's and within the whell wells?

Bump for some expert comments. Will the alternate sized tires work?
