11.633 @ 118.01, 1.605 sixty 1/8th: 7.434 @ 94.56 I'm used to making it to the first turnoff, but now with 117-118 traps, I decided to save my brakes and coasted to the end of the track. ![]() Padre

Hehe. Never looked at it that way. At Steele, I usually don't run against anyone (right lane prepped best), so I just like the music, plus it sounds cool in the vids.
Besides I was running .500's most of the day, which is what I usually factor in if I'm dialing in for a bracket.Padre |

Thanks. We have to watch out though. There was a new Mustang Boss 302 there that was running 12.6's at ~115. It was an M6, of course, and the driver was probably leaving 3/10ths on the track, but it was stock, stock tires, with just the track key.

Awesome stuff Padre! I just read through the whole thing.
I love the step by step, mod by mod log. Well done. I'm planning on doing something very similar with my L99. I might have to start a thread like this once I really get underway with mine. You've inspired me. ![]() I did notice something though. Go to about the 50 second mark on the Darlington pass and listen. It almost sounds like the engine hangs for just a second once it gets into 4th. Then it doesn't do it in your last vid. Was that you playing with locking the converter or something? |
