So do you think the ones above on ebay are as good/better than having AAc retro fit a pair ?

I can't speak for the quality of it, but here's my view on it. It's a little more affordable and if the HID lights are not to your liking, you an simply buy the HID conversion kit from ACC for an extra $150(?). Buying the headlamp assembly in addition to the HID from AAC is going to cost BIG BUCKS and some people are ok with that.

Honestly, I WOULD like to see some reviews/testimonials of the product, but it appears to be a promising alternative for a non-RS Ccamaro (like mine)

Would your daytime driving lights be the halo on the ebay kit?

Im in the same boat! I just dont want to do it twice!!! I have HOD lights from AAC now and I love em! I plan to take the ride in feb. and let them do my lighting!!!!! advanced auto has a set of replacement RS lights but the last time I checked they were sold out! 677 a pair from them! I saw ebays hids a few months back.. just concerned about price vs. quality! In the last 5 or 6 years I've learned "cheap can be expensive"!

I haven't done the halo wiring myself, but I have been told you can wire them different ways. The halos have the same wiring as the GM models, so if you would like it to be your DRLs, you can. Personally, I would like mine to come on whenever I turn the "first" level of lights on... Feeling stupid here and forgetting what they are called. The first click to the right where the blinker lights are on, but not the headlights...that. So it would be the halos and the blinker lights.

As for the quality, I've been reading his/her ebay reviews and the majority of them have been great. The bad ones are usually due to them no fitting or shipping taking longer than expected. However, the seller has commented on those complaints and appears willing to exchange/refund/fix. Sure, it's a gamble, but the odds look good and if it saves me $1500, I'm in.

From what I understand, you swap them out on non-RS models. For example, I have the 1SS with stock halogen headlights, so these should fit fine. However, if you have the GM HID headlights already, and then you try to install these, it won't work. there is a different mounting bracket for halogen headlamps vs GM HID.

I don't think that AAC are good. I looked them up and there is a guy on youtube who bought them for his charger and they kept on malfunctioning. They do have some nice stuff but check the quality first and good luck

The number of people who have problems is minuscule compared to the people who don't have problems.

Plus, lifetime warranty.

dont buy HIDs off ebay... they are generally Chinese knockoffs and in a years time will start to stress crack... I made that mistake on my turbo Cobalt:

in a years time, I had went through about 5 LED bulbs, and they started to crack/flake... I put the stockers back on, was about to buy some from Depo but it got totaled before I ever did... i'd steer clear on Ebay for them and i'm not the only one who has had issues with them, everyone I know who has bought them off ebay has...

Am I missing something? I don't see any defects in those pics... Also, can you tell us who/where you bought those headlights from so we can steer clear? And like you said, there will always be the knockoffs. Personally though, based on the ratings and reviews, I would take a chance with the suggested ones above.

Almost all lighting from China. You arent' safe buying a "name brand" vs ebay.

All of AAC's LEDs are made in the US of A

That and show me the eBay dealer who has a lifetime warranty. Heck, show me a eBay dealer who has anything longer than "30 day return policy - if unopened"

You know, looking on the ACC website, I don't see any products that include the entire assembly; just the conversion kits you install yourself. And (correct me if I am wrong), don't you need to bake your assembly in the oven to open it for the halos? It is something I would try, but how precise is this? Are these headlamps sealed air-tight? I don't want to go back to re-seal it with silicon and have a tiny gap ruin $2,000 worth of headlights. How would you rank the difficulty?
