Well, the main thing is to relax and have fun! LOL!

Being a track rental hopefully the track will be really well prepped!

Main thing is to:

1) Watch the workers and their hand signals. They will guide you.
2) Make sure you drive around the water. You don't to drive through it with street tires.
3) Just give the tires a quick spin to clean the tires. Don't try a big burnout
4) I'm getting my best launches by simply "flashing" the converter. Left foot on the brake, right on the gas. When the 3rd Amber light comes on, hit the gas as you let off the brake. I also am leaving TC on.
5) Look at your time slip. You should be able to get your 60' time down below 2.2. Try working on your launch until you get it down to 2.1x

But really... it's all about having fun!

Thanks, I appreciate it. One question, tire PSI. My 19" call for 35, should you lower the rears any? I know it may mean little but any edge ?

And yes I will have fun.

For street tires I usually run the rears at their normal PSI... I do however run the fronts a LOT higher like closer to 50 PSI...

With your tires you may want to try letting a little bit out.. maybe 32 or 30... no lower than 28...

I received a MATRIX accelerometer for x-mass and we ran some 0 - 60 times today. I am totally stock, 2011 2LT RS 20 in Wheels 6A, 6.18 1st time, 5.91 best time . I think I can easily beat this time. TC on, with a little tire spin. Weather was cold 39F. Went to about 6,300 rpm and shifted by lifting off the gas and flooring again. When I figure out when best to shift, I think I can easily make better 5's. Not bad for the V6.

After reading some posts on shifting, by selecting sport mode and let it shift by itself, improved my 0-60 times to 5.72 and 5.70. Temp was colder, 35F. I can still do better because at that time I had almost a full tank.

I'm using the Torque Android app which uses bluetooth to communicate with the car via the OBD-II port and is also uses GPS to measure its 0 - 60 times.

Not sure how accurate it is. Thinking it might be a tad slow, but pretty close, but then again some of these guys here getting almost into the 4's...I'm thinking thats a tad too quick to be totally accurate.

I've never practiced launching before. First time I tried with TC on and got a 6.4. Then with TC off I had spin city and had to let off and got a 6.7

I went out a few weeks later and got a 6.1 and a 5.9. I think I can pull out a 5.8 or maybe a 5.7 which to me seems about right with my mods when magazines were running 6+ seconds with the auto.

Very nice. 5.7x totally stock is a fantastic number! Think the general view is the V6 Camaro stock is about 6.0 seconds.... just goes to show what COLD air does for the LLT!!

Take a look at this:

http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

I plugged my time slips in and it comes out very close to what my Dashhawk says my 0-60s are... So I would say they the calculations from the 1/8th stats must be pretty good...

So I plugged the 1/8th stats from the 1/8th "bolt-on" list in for ROD1 (top of the list) and it came out 4.76 seconds.

Then I plugged in 67 GTO's stats and came up with 5.07 seconds..

So I definitely believe 4.xx in the V6 is doable with just bolt-ons... ok.. lots of bolt-ons and sticky tires! LOL!

My best 0-60 MPH with the Brick using the Dashhawk is:

If however I use my 1/8th ET/MPH from a timeslip (which was NOT my best 1/4 mile ET/MPH, stupid HEADWIND!) I end up with 4.73 seconds! Not too shabby! LOL!

When I was at the track a month ago I ran a best of 5.55 according to my Beltronics GX 2 Accelerometer. According to the calculator Scmring provided it shows a time of 5.45
