It actually works good when done correctly. The HUD keeps you from having to look down.

Me thinks this guy blew off my "drive it easy" advice. Brand new Z06 with HUD

I had it in a Bonneville and the only time I every REALLY used it was when I saw a Police Officer. You instantly knew how fast you were going without looking down. The digital number was fryed into your memory. Other than that useless

And getting a windshield replaced for $1800 sucks too.

Don't they have insurance with glass coverage in your state?

I am waiting for the HUD because I plan on having my Camaro for a very long time. It is nice to have and while not essential it will drive me crazy to not have all of the toys I want in this car. I may rethink this position as the cars start to hit the lots however.

Put it on autodrive and watch a movie on the hud while surfing web and dnlding some files. Now that's a HUD.

Maybe a retro font hud would be nice.

Yes it was covered, but normally it wouldn't have even been a claim. The glass place told me it was because of HUD.

They said it was for the reflective properties... But but when you put a piece of paper on your dash it always reflects in the windshied. Same concept...
