Flashing CEL

Go out for a cruise. Punch it a couple times at 60mph. Stabilatrac and Traction control off and when I punch it the CEL flashes. Is reset by turning car off and starting and if you let it run enough it will go away without turning car off. Car didnt seem to run any different. Any ideas?

I have noticed in summer a/f runs 11.1 to 11.6 under full boost. Now in colder weather it showing 12.1 not sure if this is due to temp change or if it has something to do with this flashing CEL. HMMM>

It's telling you there's a misfire condition.

YA what he said lol.

If its not misfiring, your misfire table needs to be rescaled

so is this something I can scan/log and send to my tuner? I understand it means misfire but I dont understand what kind of things cause that? Bad plug, plug wire, maf issues ect? If its in the tune then I would think I could log that and send it to the tuner correct?

Should be able to, yeah. Just be careful. I have been reading up on boosted engines as I am starting to plan my build for the summer. My understanding so far tells me that if your engine is misfiring and you arent boosting, its not a huge deal, but should be looked at. Same situation with boost, especially at WOT, that could be REALLY bad..

Id log the snot out of it with a hand held tuner when its happening and then at least review the logs and see what the engine/ECM are doing during these events, might give you a better idea of whats happening and weather the tuner will be able to help or not..
