Oro Valley Charity Classic Car Show, BBQ & Blues Family Festival
Saturday Feb 18th, 2012 - 10am-3pm

$5 admission for adults, 10 & under free
Oro Valley Marketplace SW corner of Tangerine Rd & Oracle

Get ready for a day of family fun as the Oro Valley Classic Car, BBQ and Blues Show Family Festival kicks into gear. Judges rate more than 50 classes of antique, classic, muscle cars and trucks, doling out awards for best interior, paint, engine compartment and overall appearance.

Festival-goers not only can take in this parade of steel-and-chrome classics, but they also can rock to golden oldies spun by DJs and groove to the blues belted out by rockin' bands. Plenty of barbecue and other food fill-up the day, and kids can have fun in jumping castles or enjoy art activities all set in the beautiful mountain views of Oro Valley.

Proceeds from the event will benefit SAACA's many arts programs in the community and local schools

Sean,

I installed my shifter yesterday. I love the way it shifts now. It's a looker with that cue ball, too.

Getting under my car and working above the driveshaft and transmission was an adventure with my fat fingers. Very limited room but all went well. I finally installed my skip shift eliminator, too. I've only had it for about four months now.

It sure does make shifting more fun having a short throw and skip shift eliminator.

Awesome. I'll be there. Bought a helmet over the weekend. I've never done anything like this. Any tips? Just to let ya know, I'm not brave enough to turn off the traction control. I plan to just race like I would any stoplight throwdown.

i know how you feel i ran my first 4 run with traction on. but now its always off. my advice is dont worry but the guy next to you and go out and have fun. oh and do what my you feel most comfortable when you make a run.

I have about 3200 passes down the 1/4 mile. I would be happy to give you some pointers while we are out there.
