I noticed you guys talked them in to an A6 ZL1. I guess they couldn't take all the whining.

Learning to drive a manual is easy. You will have it down in a day or two. I drove a stick for over 20yrs. That being said i have gotten tired of the stick and love the auto. Had the auto in my Buick GN and now in my 5th Gen.....no regrets.

Depends on how you will be driving it. If you want control as you wind it out getting every last drop out of the gears you will like the manual better. If you will be mostly cruising and taking it easy like in a regular car the auto will be fine too. Its a matter of preference.

Hey LED KING, I'm in my mid 50s and I didn't want to deal with the clutch all the time so I got the auto but shift it with the tap most of the time. I've had manuals in the past. They were fun back then. You are a young man so get the stick. You will have a heck of a lot of fun. You won't be disappointed. If you get an automatic you'll always wish you would have went with the stick. If you get the stick you'll never wish you had the automatic. GO HAVE FUN YOUNG MAN!!!

I've got the LS3/M6 and its my DD. No complaints here, other than the occasional take off when on a hill (71st Street comes in mind, lol), but that's not hard with the handbrake being your best friend. My vote goes for getting the manual!

Well if this is ur daily and since u live in oklahoma i wouldnt exspect traffic to be truley horrible in ur area unless ur far from work and do the 9-5 thing. U should get the manual its more fun and more engaging. But please do atleast test drive the car before u buy it. The most important thing is if u are comfortable driving it or not.

I am a man. I do all maintenance work around the house myself. I do all preventative maintenance on my Camaro myself. I never ask for directions, just keep driving until I find it. I shave with a straight razor. by golly, I drive a manual Camaro.

I'm still mad about the automatic power windows.

Decision made

Well.. I am getting a L99.

This time around I had to borrow money from my parents in order to get this amazing upgrade. My mother would not allow me to get a standard if I was borrowing her money (even though I would borrow less with the standard). She claims I need a hand free at all times and I would get pissed off with the hills and traffic. I say whoptido big deal. Hopefully I will own a standard at some point in my lifetime, but not right now. I am just happy to have a SS. I will hopefully be able to place my order tomorrow. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I cannot wait to drive this Camaro! :ha ppyanim:

I still have to get approval from my dad, but I will be getting the 2012 2SS/RS, inferno orange metallic, inferno orange interior, and L99 transmission. Hopefully I will be able to swing a painted heritage grill and a Flowmaster Outlaw exhaust.

Horsepower doesnt mean a damn thing with the ls3 unless you are among those who naturally "get it" with the standard shift. There are many out there who prefer to enjoy the drive than worry about shifting their cars. If you WORRY about shifting your car, the L99 was a wise choice.
IF I had an LS3 I would lose to a Hyndai right off the mark. I just never got the standard shift thing. I could get to work in one but the transmission would age about 5 years for every stop light I encountered.
Doesnt matter! You (we) choose a Camaro, cant go wrong.
