Of the SEMA cars unveiled in November, the "COPO" car seems to be the one most folks are "interested" in...at least from a potential owner's point of view. Ergo, the COPO name used here...which, as mentioned in the first post, will NOT be used on this car...

It's a frame of reference...

It wasn't called the SEMA COPO car, it was the SEMA Camaro LS7 Concept... The description mentioned "in the spirit of the COPO Camaro".

Either way I'm interested to see what you come up with.

QFT that is exactly what the COPO car were. in 1969 u got a camaro sent it out to the Central Office Production Order (COPO) to get it done up with a 427 big block. this 427 however wasnt ur regular motor it was a all aluminum ZL1 the best motor gm has ever built.

will there be another COPO camaro, probly not but a man can dream

The LS7 would be a much better match for the Camaro. This thing would weigh well over 4000#s if you had the LS9 in there. The ZR1 weights more then the Z06 and it has all that carbon fiber and other light weight items. The LS7 has plenty of power and it would handle better because of the less weight hanging of the front end.

Yeah but those cars still hold high value

I would love an SLP car...its definetly more affordable and a more plausible option for GM...SLP...a familiar brand that had worked with GM in the past. And they still were soley just a few bolt on and a new badging...but damn did it feel cool. There is this old dude that eats at a place that i go to all the time...he has a WU6 Firehawk...its a friggin garage queen...He has only taken it out once since i've known him...has 15k miles on it.

I would love SLP to be offered at the dealer again.

I think they should offer the LSX block with different variation builds and still be able to keep the warranty.

This would be expensive as hell...but hey...it would be the epitome of the Camaro being the most customizable car available on the market..ever.

I mean hell...you could opt for the legendary CIs of days past

such as 350 , 396 , 427 , 454 ...hell they built a N/A 454 with 640 HP...in a prototype phase...of course GM would have to do some other mods to the block to make the EPA girls happy.

That would be awesome ...and whatever motor you order...it comes with the decal denoting the size you opted for...it would go great on the side of the cowl or the front fender. Dammet GM...LISTEN TO ME

My thanks to the many who have PM'd. And thanks, as well, to those who have "spoken", here, on this thread.

Any others?

Your input is truly valued...and valuable...

a COPO car should be a shell with whatever options you pick from the catalog.

similar to if a company were to do the "body-in-white" and let you pick the color, engine, trans, rear, suspension, and interior options that you want.
