When do you wash....

...your vehicles.

Winter time, so whats your opinion on a outdoor temp cutoff where it's not "a good idea" to take your vehicle to the car wash. Gotta keep that salt and disgusting road buildup off your sweet ride don't ya?

My guess is between 35-38 degrees.

At least once a week. Here in So. Cal, we don't have to worry about temp getting too low. LUCKY us. If the gov. could outlaw or tax our weather, I am sure they would.

every weekend by hand 2 bucket even at 27 deg (last year). Warm water. Don't lock it until its dried. especially the door jams and seals as well as the trunk jam and seal.

I've washed mine twice since the beginning of November.... 2nd time was last saturday. No salt or anything around here... and its only been out of the garage a couple times and has gone MAYBE 30 miles.

I think the coldest temperature I ever washed a vehicle in was 40 degrees. The worst part was drying the car. Water doesn't like to dry when the temerature is cold and the constant wringing of the chamois freezes your hands.

cars locked in the garage, & I do even think about washing the vehicles once the temps start dropping down to the 30s at night.

I washed her at 42 degrees a few weeks ago. Normally, she's hibernating this time of year and doesn't need it, but the SUV broke down and I had no choice but to drive Ladybug. She got a wash last Sunday (it was a balmy 53!), and is tucked in for the remainder of the winter now.
