I've been asked by Extreme Speed Track Events to organize the "Angelwings Tech Extreme Speed Corvette Showdown" for 2012. It would consist of 8 track days, held at Willow Springs, Streets of Willows, Auto Club Speedway, Spring Mountain and possibly Chuckwalla. Points will be given to each participant at each event, based upon their best lap time. The points from each participant's top 5 finishes will count toward the series championship. So you will NOT have to attend all 8 to be in the championship running. Winners at each event will get discounts toward future events and the champions from each division will get a trophy and an Angelwings Tech gift certificate. ALL participants get a discount on the registration cost of the 8 events.

So why am I telling you this? Because while I'm at it, I could very easily create an "Angelwings Tech Extreme Speed Camaro Showdown" as well. I know most of you are into autocrossing. But would you be interested in getting out onto the tracks as well?

The tentative first event will be Sat. March 31 at Spring Mountain Motor Resort in Pahrump, NV. Yes, it's a drive, but we'll have VIP arrangements to a stay at the LV Hilton, including dinner Sunday night at their 4-star steak house. Most of us will participate in the LV Porsche Club track days on Saturday and Sunday while our significant others plan on hanging around LV all weekend. We caravan up in Friday and head back home on Monday, but you can set your own schedule.

So what do you say my Camaro Family?

yes, to give Don (dunerider) a break before he has hip surgery on Monday or Tues. I you sign up, put Camaro5 in the comments and depending how many people sign up, we will get a $5 or $10 discount.

Surgery Has been postponed untill March 1st..doctor hurt her thumb

..I still dont know if I will run depends how I feel up to race day...More pain going from gas to break..
