That pic of the chassis in the pdf is like 8 months old or older. Looks like they are just re-using it not realizing how closely we study this stuff

Actually that would not work cause they are not corroded yet.
I like the way you think......

thanks great to know !

You guys might want to consider doing headers instead.

I am willing to bet that, like the C5/C6, headers will give you the sound you are looking from a catback, with the addition of 30 hp to the wheels that you will NOT get from a catback.
Just a suggestion.

FYI: Kooks and American racing seem to be the best performing headers in the C5/C6 crowd and there is a ongoing group purchase for headers right now.

my friend only gained ~12-14 rwhp with a set of long tubes on his C6 30 rwhp is way optimistic, maybe longtubes + tune.

Sorry to hear that, friend.:(
Something is not right there.:(

What long tube header is he running?

A good long tube header (Kooks, American racing) is good for 30 rwhp. More on a LS3.
You might need a dyno tune to get every HP, but headers and a dyno tune should be done together in my opinion. A PROFESSIONAL dyno tune will yield power and improved MPG.

its also a good idea because you will need that tune to pass inspection

From what I've seen ARH has higher HP and LG provides better low-end torque, but when do you use low-end torque outside of first gear? Granted, I belive in having a broad torque curve over a peaky one, but under 3000rpms its useless once you're out of first gear.

For the money I think a LT header kit is the way to go. The cat-back exhuast kits I've seen are riduclously priced, they are equal to some LT header kits. I'd rather have stock mufflers, LT headers, x-pipe, high flow cats, and +30rwhp over stock manifolds and stock cats, x-pipe, nice mufflers, and 12rwhp.
