Well, there's a diffrence. If a Mustang can run 13.3 with a 2.0 60' time and a Camaro can run 13.3 with 2.3 60' time they are not equally as fast. It's not because we don't like Mustnags. Some peolpe on this board think the Camaro can hang with the GT500 becuase one magizine ran a crappy 1/4 mile time. It goes both ways, unfortunately.

From what I've read about Hennessey Performance and some of the posts I've seen on other boards from the owner I trust anything they claim or advertise. Like someone already said this run may have been sandbagged for a reason.

i didnt say they were equal the camaro is faster, but as soon as someone runs a slow time in a mustang it gets posted as if thats all the mustang can do. no matter how horrible the driver was.

exactly... of course they're going to get a crappy stock time... they're not trying to get a good stock timeslip... they're trying to make themselves look better when they modify it... and, btw, this is a trick that Saleen and Hennessey are both guilty of doing

Definitely didn't push the car. Launch was poor...shifts were slow and it looks like premature. Just lost a little respect for Hennessey Performance.

Well... I would want to know how much the broke it in first too.

If they did that right off the truck that's not not a proper way to get numbers.

They should improve after a few 1000 miles.

And don't take that advice that's the LAST thing you want to do with a 1 day old car.

Unless your rich or a company and don't care about the longevity of the vehicle.

I think this is about what an average driver will run at the track with this car. Nothing out of the ordinary really.

In the video he states that he's only shifting at 6,000 rpm. I think the LS3 would be better served with shifting a bit higher. Note how far before the traps he gets into 4th gear.

So a bogged launch, short shifting and non broken in car will yield 13.6 @108.

Unfortunately these times will probably be representative of many 5th Gen owners who just decide to take the brand new car to the local T'N'T and think they will run what the magazines do.

Look at how he handled 2nd gear, and listen to the engine. He went in at 52mph, then pulled out at 73. Then you can hear 3rd relatively dogged down because the rpms have to fall so far. What's up with that? Pulled out of 3rd early too, or at least sounds like it. No shots of the tach, so can't say for sure.

The slower the stock car goes, the faster a tuner will look when he is done.
