Honestly, I would guess the percentage is much lower... 5-10% tops. Most car owners could care less if there is a forum is out there. Sure, the Camaro attracts more of an enthusiast crowd, but there are many, many people out there that are not like us and their Camaro is nothing more to them than getting from point A to point B.

Wouldn't the sponsors want an idea of "owners" before they advertise...or like caspers says, just hits on the web-site, members...whatever..?

Not only do we have members that don't own Camaros, but we also have owners that visit the site as a guest but don't sign up.

And in addition to the inactive accounts, and non-owning members, we also have thousands of spammers (both banned and yet to be banned) that add to the near 55k member total.

All in all, there is no way of knowing.

I've not talked to any other owners around my town that have heard of C5 until I've given them one of the forum cards. Most of them aren't enthusiasts at all and just really like the looks of the car more than anything. Even I'm not exactly an "enthusiast" per se. I enjoy my car and I do a few small mods to it here and there just to differentiate it from the others, but I'm not into spending a bunch of money on things. I enjoy talking to people about it and I'm knowledgeable about it as well as enjoy going to rallies, etc with some of the folks near me. I love to see others' Camaros and all the things they've done to them, but then I think "wow, that's a lot of stuff". More than I'd be willing/able to do to mine.
Takes all kinds, is all I'm saying. Love this site though, mainly for the discussion and reasonably polite folks. Not that any of this had a whole lot to do with the OP's questions, just shooting out some other possible demographic info.

I'm working on the spammer problem though

There are approx 50,000 Camaro5 members. Out of that, about 50 use it regularly......just kidding; I would say maybe 5 percent use it once a week.
