There is no cutting or welding required. Everything is direct for bolt on. You don't have use cats, that's more personal preference. There is no performance benefit to deleting them. I got the catted connection pipes simply to lessen the exhaust/gas smell these cars produce, to me it was worth the extra $200.

No worried on asking questions, I started this thread to help out others. So ask away!

Sweet i cant wait to order them. What kind of exhaust do you have? Did the headers imporove any performance? How about sound? I just did a muffler delete.

A few things. Measure inside the flange..not just the edge. The primaries are not blended, and there normally is a lip. As for it being "heavier" gauge..the domestic companies use thinner gauge because it is lighter. Overseas companies use heavier gauge because the metal breaks in the bender otherwise. Buy what you want...it's just important to state the facts.

Im running the factory exhaust with the muffler delete but I replaced the factory h-pipe with a magnaflow 2 in 2 out muffler/x-pipe combo. Its sounds awesome! Performance wise it was a big improvement.

Hey bro, go sh*t on someone else's thread. We all know you hate OBX. I'll respond to your nonsense even though I really considered just ignoring you. Remember you came in here and started this. What you just stated is your opinion, not "facts" as you claim. Your opinion is biased considering your on here peddling over priced headers. I know for a fact you are over charging because your "over the phone" price for is $300 to $400 dollars less than your website price. Ive been told by two other reputable vendors that you are in bed with Kooks, maybe its your brothers company or something, who knows and honestly who cares. Now lets analyze YOUR "facts".

For one, the primaries were perfectly blended and there was NO lip. I have more pictures to support this. Two, lighter gauge to save weight...really? You mean the whole pound, maybe two difference? Ok you got me, damn I could of spent an extra $700 to $800, saved two pounds and my engine bay would be louder? Oh man, great sales pitch so far. This next point about thicker steel actually made me laugh out loud...seriously. You claim, "overseas companies use heavier gauge steel because the lighter stuff will break in the bender", yea that made me lol. Come on buddy, thats just ridiculous. I think the real story is you hate OBX because you can't make a %50 or more mark-up on them. Its funny to me that you come on here and bash OBX and overseas products, yet you sell the "stainless power" brand. A budget friendly overseas header. That must really pain you.

Now stay off my thread if your gonna come one here and claim to have "facts" with NOTHING to back it up. If you want to leave your OPINION, go right ahead.
Matt

I just don't want this to turn into a OBX vs brand name X thread. And yea, it bugs me when people say they have facts when really its just their opinion. Also, I've seen that guy go on every single OBX thread to bash whoever just bought them. It is a little annoying. Don't you think?

Wonder if those cats are better quality than the Kooks. I'm afraid to run mine on my supercharged application after seeing all of the failures.

Really...from your opening post...

To sum up, fit and finish was perfect, they sound great and I spent half of what others are spending for the same thing.
It is a little annoying when people buy cheap copies of your products, and then post like they are getting a "value" compared to people who buy the real deal. Also..guess what..fit and finish being perfect is an opinion...not "fact".

I really hate these threads..and try to avoid them. The flip side is..I feel like if I sit on my hands and ignore it, then group mentality sets in, and the whole thing becomes okay. It really is not if you want to continue to see american companies design and innovate their products.

Thank you "Oh So called Cheap Steel Companies".... Dont let the Haters get you matt.

Did you read the other thread on that? There is a bit of conjecture out there about cats failing on supercharged cars, AND the risk is a bit overblown also.

Yes I did. Seems most that fail are Kooks.

If you read the thread I am thinking of..only four who posted in the thread actually failed, and only one had Kooks.
