I honestly think I'm going to be good with them!

Flat looks great on cars and goes with the latest look of muscle cars stripes/graphics.

And that my friends is why i ordered my car without stripes of any kind. If i want stripes i will have them painted on anyway, i like to run my fingers across the stripes and feel no crease or line.

I agree... I personally am not interested in stripes just yet.. Although the hockey stripes do look cool.... But if i were getting stripes right away i would have them painted anyways so that everything is smooth and you don't have a sticker on there. Not to mention when cleaning and waxing you car you don't have to worry about avoiding the sticker. Just my two cents

Yes you can paint directly over the clearcoat but they ill have to sand the area first with a fine grit sandpaper or else your painted stripes will be flaking off a year later. Not enough to sand through the clearcoat however.

Well someone posted something similar, but look at Hendrick's #2. that doesn't look flat to me at all. Why wouldn't all the other SIMs with black stripes be the same? I configured my car based on his...

There is a IOM at my dealer and they are installing black rally stripes by the weekend. (so they said) Worst case scenario, if no one has pics of a IOM with black rally stripes I will post the pics over the weekend. I ordered black rally stripes too but cancelled them because they were flat but I guess I'll see this weekend.

CGM can be ordered and are applied/painted at the factory. Black appear less glossed and are dealer installed. If it came with stripes from the factory it CANT be black. And for what its worth, I saw CGM in person at the Austin show and its definately not blackish or very dark. Really depends on the lighting, but don't expect a washed-out black.
