Hey Mister C, she wasn't kiddin', it really does sound interesting! While everything is fun, I'd love to do some playing and lob some rounds in "Kentucky Windage" style with my 8 3/8" .44 a quarter mile away!

My son got a Kimber 4 1/4" 45 for Christmas, we were shooting it 200 yds ~ 6' high for drop... scary accurate! I imagine that long ast barrel magnum could do twice that! 400 yard pistol shooting, that's just cool!

If you guys ever have a reason to be thru SW Oklahoma, be sure and PM me, if I can be home, I will.

You know we will!

What's funny is that dad was always bringing home new books back when I was a kid. I remember some of the things that old Elmer Keith wrote about doing, and how he was the guy responsible for bringing about the .44 Magnum into existence. He'd kind of lay down and brace 'em against his leg as he let off rounds out six hundered yards or so.

(Damn it, I feel like going shooting RIGHT NOW!)

One other thing that is alot of fun too, is my 24" .44 lever gun! It's amazing how noticeable the increase in velocity is over the already fast long barrel revolver!

What would piss me off is if I got it, then something else was built that was even bigger and more powerful! I'm better off leaving it alone for right now.

well, the .460 came out.... its a whole lot faster, but a little smaller.... Either one would still hurt to get hit by

it'll hurt the hitter too . Its got a compensator, I took it off once . Of course a lot of people would consider a gun that big a compensator
