How to protect your car? Alarm?

Hello people, I am new here and this is my first post. I oredered my car back in February and been lurking on this site everyday for 2 months now. I was wondering how you plan to protect your car?

What kind of alarm system you are gonna get? I heard boomerang makes your battery drop dead when you don't take the car often like storing it for winter.

well first off Welcome to the site.. You will wish you joined sooner, I know I do.

I dont know what kind of alarm system to get for it. I would think the one that is on it already should be good and onstar.

Probably not needed.

but if I was going to put another alarm on it, it would be a Viper with the sonar feature like on my Maserati. Anyone touches it or get too close and it will let everyone within 50 yards know.

One addittional cool feature...2 way communication with the car if the alarm goes off or any doors are opened it will set off your remote up to 1/4 mile range.

I own and operate my own stereo shop. We will only install viper alarms. Lifetime warrenty on their units. And you can pick several options to attach to it like battery backup, two way communication, motion sensor, extra shock sensor, window module to roll up and down your windows, tilt sensor in case you are worried about somebody stealing your rims just to name a few. So look for a viper dealer.

Yeah and while you are sitting in the movie theatre and someone tries to steal your rims the Viper remote in your pocket will signal you that your car is being tampered so you can go outside and get a clean shot. It sure beats going out an hour later to find your rims gone. Then the only shot you will have is at your own head while you say "I should have listened to those guys on the forum"..... Just the upgrade on my rims cost more than the alarm.

Good thing I don't upgrade my "rims" then. They're called wheels bro, "rims" are for ricers and ghetto wannabes.
